Using The Breeding Mount*

The Breeding Mount is constructed of heavy gauge tubular steel and heavy duty expanded metal, covered with high-density foam rubber, and upholstered with rugged waterproof ballistic material. The Breeding Mount provides years of trouble-free service when installed and cared for properly. Replacement upholstery covers are available if needed.

An easy opening, spring-loaded, hinged, washable, padded door guides the stallion into the AV. Our new door hinge now includes a stop to hold door open when loading and unloading AV. An easy-to-reach bracket (now with attached cord for remote operation) lowers the end of the AV after, or during ejaculation. The opening in the side allows for the release of water pressure in the AV, if desired. The mount may be raised, lowered, and tilted to suit the preference of each stallion, all by one person. The Breeding Mount is suitable for most sizes and breeds of horse or pony.

1. Use of the Breeding Mount

There are options available for your Mount to keep it in prime condition for many years and hundreds of uses. If installed outside, cover the Mount when not in use. Regardless of its location, check it each time before use to ensure there are no bees or wasps in it. Some breeders use covers, such as blankets, over the area of the Mount where the legs and feet of the stallion come in contact with it. A surcingle-type leather device or 1 inch soft cotton rope wrapped tightly can be provided at the front of the Mount, as some stallions like to grasp something in their teeth. The EBS softside cover is made of non-chafe fleece and is tailored for a secure fit. The new EBS Stallion Grab is made of heavy duty leather with an addjustable easy to attach strap.
